So I think at 18 months we have officially made it to some of the more interesting dramatic times of my life. My little ginger has hit all the points when it comes to dramatics and often reminds me of my sister when she was younger.
1. Millie is extremely dramatic about her food.
I mean this child acts as if I starve her. I swear I never have! This child eats all the time and I have even tried to do like a routine for food but if I eat in front of her it is like world world three. She does not like that she can't eat what I eat! Honestly it is so not even fair!
2. Tantrums-
Oh the tantrums... lets be honest they are over the top and unneeded by far. I can't help but giggle a bit because her tantrums are the funnest thing ever. She throws her self back and gets those big crocodile tears going. Sometimes she even will run over to me like shes begging me to give in. Yea sometimes it works I mean have you seen my child's face? Its supper hard to say no too especially when she sticks that bottom lip out and sighs like the entire world just imploded before her.
Yesterday was probably the best one. She had been throwing fits about anything and everything and my boyfriend told her to go to her room and calm down. She did go to her room and laid herself over the toy box and cried into it like it she had just been beat or something.
3. The word "MINE"
Everything in my house supposedly belongs to her. I think Josh and I here the word "Mine" about a million times a day and I am only exaggerating a bit too. seriously though I can't help but wish that this Mine stage is over soon. Because that dang pizza was not hers its MINE. Hmm I wonder who she gets it from haha!
4.Getting out of bed
- So I have recently moved my daughter to a toddler like bed and I am not sure why I thought this would be easy. I mean considering the stories I have heard Millie is doing great. One of the most annoying things she does is get out of bed when I put her to bed for the night. There has been a couple of nights where she gets out more than once. I mean shes playing in pitch black darkness there really can't be to much fun with that. I think we may have actually figure out how to keep her in bed but just because it has worked for the moment doesn't mean it will tomorrow.
5. Telling me No
Oh goodness I know shes only 18 months but she is so much smarter than we really think. Millie knows how to do a lot for her age which I think is great but if she is busy playing and you ask her to get up and do something for her it becomes the end of the dang world. She has got really good at saying No. Which honestly is one of the hardest feats to overcome right now because she says it about everything. I feel like she may not know the word yes so I have been attempting to teach her that one.
No we have not made it to the Terrible twos but we sure have made it to some very dramatic new heights not to far away from number two! If you have any good ways of handling some of the things I have posted above let me know! I'd love to hear from my readers.
