My Thrifty Find: Featuring Plato's Closet

Being a mom on a budget is something most of our fellow moms encounter daily. How to get things done for cheap but still of good quality. For a while I just gave up, everything I wanted was to expensive and I wasn't about to spend money I didn't have.

However, over the last few years of really having to crack down on that budget I have learned that thrift stores and consignment stores are the blessings of life.

For a long while I hated going shopping because it meant spending money but after taking on a retail job I am finding my style and learning how to spend my money.

"My Thrifty Finds" won't always be of clothes but for this week I am excited to show you my outfit today that I bought for under 30 dollars. May not seem super cheap but it really is.

$12! I was so excited to find these because there isn't a huge heel! I am a simple lady who hates heels and you will probably never see me where anything taller than this. Original price for these boots is 35.99!

Same Style but much cheaper!

$4 I love love love this necklace! I have been eyeing it for weeks and finally decided to get it! I am not positive on the original price here but I would have to say at least 6-8 dollars.
$12 dollars with the original tags still attached! This dress is Forever 21.21 and I love the way it fits me and shows of my shoulders! Original price was 27.90! That my lovely's is a steal!

My total savings was about 43.89 for this entire outfit!

GO CHECK OUT PLATO'S CLOSET!

As you can see it is very much worth it and they always have great styles because they get to choose what they buy! Look for deal's that fit your budget!

Mom Fail Tuesday: "Did your Mom Drop you on your head?"

My poor kid. I sometimes can't handle these mom fails because they really suck sometimes. Such as my most recent fail which made me cry because of how bad I felt plus how embarrass I was. So let me give you a little back ground.

On Saturday, I went to the zoo with my mom and my daughter for our first mother daughter day in a very long time (or what seemed like it to me). We had a blast we rode the tram, the sky safari and the boat......

Well Millie and I had never been on the boat and we were all excited to see what it was like. I was holding my daughter as we boarded the boat and step over to our seats. Here comes the epic mom fail. The seat was a metal bench with a back on it that was probably a good foot from the actual chair. I slid Millie down my side and went to sit her down on the bench. Well because the back was so far up my child slipped through the crack and fell back on to the ground behind it.
-_-

She cried. I cried.

A lady behind us helped us get her up and gave her some gummy's to help distract her. Thank you awesome lady with awesome compassion!

So you know that joke/insult people say "Did your mom drop you on your head as a child?"

Well... Millie can say yes to that very sarcastic question.

Have you ever dropped your child on accident?

If you haven't well lucky you!
