On Easter of 2016 I decided to do something that I never thought I would. After doing quite a bit of research on rear facing and forward facing I concluded that I should switch my two year old daughter back to being rear faced in the car.
Before doing the proper research Millie was forward facing and everything seemed fine. I didn't think it was a big deal because I followed the state laws that said she needed to be one before I switched her around which is exactly what I did. It was thinking that wasn't really based on anything except what I had thought was right. It makes me wonder how many people make the decision to switch to front facing with out the full information on the subject.
So instead of giving you all the statistics and this is that because honestly reading about it doesn't quiet explain what happens and why it is so important. I found a video that really shows why rear facing is prominently safer than frontal facing.
I don't want to tell you how something should be because I know my way isn't the only way. I may not agree with your choices and you may just think I am a crazy car seat fanatic mom which if you truly know me you know I am a pretty relax mom on most things.
What I do want to do is give you all the information you need to make the right decision for your family. Whether it's front facing or rear facing.
