I have heard a lot of crazy things since the United states finally allowed gay marriage. Some of them are awful things that I can't even imagine saying to someone.
I really am glad this this is finally settled. I think it is great that all people can marry who they truly love and that is such an exciting thing for all of us. To be honest I am glad that if my child was to come to me and tell me she loved another women that I know she could actually have a life with her. I am glad that we were able to pass this feat because you never know what your future holds.
As a kid I always though a man an a women should get married and that was the only way. I really only thought that because I had never seen two men or women with each other at least not in the way I see my mom and dad. Since I was about thirteen I began to see the world a lot different and even I felt the pressures of the world to be someone who I may not be. It was very confusing and I can not imagine being someone who had to come out to this world knowing that there would be a lot of people to beat you down. To a world who wouldn't even want you to marry someone who you loved just because it wasn't the norm.
I am thankful that my friends who are gay are able to have a marriage with there husband or wife without feeling like they have a bunch of obstacles to climb over.
Really I think legalizing gay marriage is amazing for our society. I think it is awesome especially because that is more children who have a chance to be adopted who really need the love and support. I mean as gay married couples are able to marry many will probably want children and a lot of the time being able to have children is not as easy for some. Okay I may not have the most normal views on all this but it truly is a great thing.
I am glad that many of my friends have a chance to have a marriage that is legal. I'm so happy that things are becoming more equal, all though there is a lot of change left to go it is one step in the right direction. Sadly not everyone will agree with this decision and we do have to come with terms and realize that we cannot please or change everyone's minds.
I hope people can at least see that these people getting married to those of the same sex is not offending or hurting anyone. I feel just the opposite because I really do think it is an amazing thing that people can love who they want whether you and me agree on it.
Your more than welcome to disagree and to think it is a bad thing because that is your opinion and I respect that. However I will not stand for bullying. I hope many others will stand with me and fight bullying over this topic. Over the internet is the worst please don't fight the person judging instead stand with the person being judged and be a friend. Show others that this is not okay.
I think my mom and probably many of your own used to say "If you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all." If you find your self wanting to say something mean just zip your lips until you find something better to say.
